The following Legal Notice and General Terms and Conditions of Use govern the way you use and browse the website www.ritzparis.com (hereinafter the “Website”), including the website accessible at this address, including its optimisedversion for browsing on mobiles and tablets, as well as mobile apps published by the company THE RITZ HOTEL, LIMITED, the information of which is provided hereafter.
Accessing and browsing the Site constitutes, on behalf of the Site’s user, unconditional acceptance of the clauses provided under the General Terms & Conditions of Use below.
The current online version of these terms of use is the only enforceable version during the term of use of the Site and until a revised version replaces it.

1. ACCESS
The access to the Website and the use of its content and functions are governed by the following General Terms and Conditions of Use and are exclusively reserved to adults. RITZ PARIS reserves the right to request confirmation of your age.
By using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the General Terms and Conditions of Use, without reservation. Similarly, by using the Website, you acknowledge the Website’s Privacy Policy.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

RESA is the sole owner of the rights on the trademarks“RITZ “, “RITZ PARIS”, “RITZ BAR”, “RITZ ESCOFFIER”, etc. (hereinafter the “Trademarks”) and it has granted the right to RITZ PARIS to use the Trademarks for the purposes of operating the Hotel Ritz Paris and providing the related services.
RITZ PARIS is authorised (directly or through the effect of licences or authorisations) to use the components comprising the Website, the domain names, Trademarks, designs, etc., and the editorial images and content which are reproduced in them.
They constitute the whole and entire property of RITZ PARIS or of RESA.
The use of all or part of the Website, including by downloading, reproduction, transmission, representation or broadcast, for purposes other than for purposes other than consultation and use of the Website by the web user on a personal and private basis with a non-commercial aim, without RITZ PARIS’s prior written consent, is strictly prohibited. Any breach of these measures exposes the perpetrator to the sanctions set out both by the Intellectual Property Code, notably in respect of infringement of copyright and trademark law, and by the Civil Code in respect of civil liability.

8. AMENDMENTS
RITZ PARIS informs you that the present General Terms and Conditions of Use may be amended at any time. Such amendments are posted online and are deemed to be unconditionally accepted when you access the Website after they are posted online. RITZ PARIS recommends you check this page regularly.
9. SEVERABILITY
If any clause of the present General Terms and Conditions of Use is found to be invalid due to a change in legislation or regulations or a court decision, this cannot in any way affect the validity of and compliance with the other clauses of the General Terms and Conditions of Use.
10. APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTES
The present General Terms and Conditions of Use are governed and construed in accordance with French law, in accordance with Regulation No. EC 593/2008 of 17 June 2008, without depriving you of the level of protection provided by the provisions of the mandatory laws of the country of your usual residence. These General Terms and Conditions of Use are drafted in English. In the event of a discrepancy between the General Terms and Conditions of Use in English and the Terms and Conditions of Use in French, the latter shall prevail.
It is recalled that an amicable settlement of the dispute shall be the privileged solution.
Failing amicable agreement, in the event of dispute related to the use of the Website, you have the option of engaging in a conventional mediation process or any other alternative dispute resolution procedure.
In the event of a dispute, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation No. EC 44/2001 of 22 December 2000:
you may choose to file a claim either before one of the territorially competent courts under the French Code of Civil Procedure, or before the courts where you were domiciled when the contract was concluded, or when the harmful event occurred, in accordance with Article R. 631-3 of the French Consumer Code;
- you may choose to file a claim either before one of the territorially competent courts under the French Code of Civil Procedure, or before the courts where you were domiciled when the contract was concluded, or when the harmful event occurred, in accordance with Article R. 631-3 of the French Consumer Code;
- RITZ PARIS may file a claim before the courts where the customer is domiciled.
RITZ PARIS reserves the right to seek and obtain injunctions or orders to protect its rights hereunder.
11. MEDIATION
In the event of a dispute between RITZ PARIS and the user of the Website (consumer), the latter shall endeavour to find an amicable solution.
If no amicable agreement can be reached, in accordance with order no. 2015-1033 of 20 August 2015 and implementing decree no. 2015-1382 of 30 October 2015, the user of the Website (consumer) may, for any so-called consumer dispute or litigation, subject to article L612-2 of the French Consumer Code, refer the matter free of charge to the consumer ombudsman responsible for RITZ PARIS, i.e., the Association of European Consumer Ombudsmen (AME CONSO), within one (1) year of the written complaint sent to the RITZ PARIS.
Referral to the Consumer Ombudsman must be made:
- either by completing the form on the AME CONSO website: www.mediationconso-ame.com tab « FORMULAIRE DE SAISINE EN LIGNE »;
- or by mail addressed to AME CONSO, 197 Boulevard Saint-Germain - 75007 Paris, France.
AME CONSO will try, independently and impartially, to find an amicable solution to the dispute.
The user of the Website remains free to decide whether or not to use mediation.
In the event of recourse to mediation by RITZ PARIS, the user of the Website is also free to accept or refuse recourse to mediation.
Once the mediator's decision has been made, each party is free to accept or reject the solution proposed by the mediator.
