The Ecole Ritz Escoffier offers certified professional training in cooking, pastry, and culinary arts, tailored to career changers or aspiring chefs. Course lengths range from short modules (half a day to several weeks) up to comprehensive programs that prepare students for the Culinary Arts Diploma. A cooking or pastry program lasts 14 weeks.
Students attend classes Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break and a 1-week break between Level 1 and Level 2. The Ecole Ritz Escoffier’s professional training programs are Qualiopi-certified. Tuition costs are available online.
Applications to the school require completion of an application form, followed by an interview with the program director.
Classes are taught in French, with consecutive interpretation into English provided by a culinary assistant who also serves as an interpreter.
Proficiency in one of the two languages is required: reading, writing, and speaking.
Absolutely. The training courses cover all the basics and have no prerequisites.
Yes, that’s possible. An interview with the Head Instructor will be scheduled beforehand to assess skills and technical foundations.
A student visa is required for students from outside the European Union. It must be obtained from the French consulate or embassy in the student’s country of residence after admission.
No direct CPF funding is available. Depending on eligibility, grants may still be available through AKTO, the funding and management body for vocational training in the hospitality and restaurant sector. Students are responsible for completing the necessary procedures.
No, the Ecole Ritz Escoffier does not offer the CAP.
Yes, uniforms and all necessary equipment are provided to students. Internships with the Ritz Paris culinary brigade may also be possible after the training program, to provide hands-on professional experience.
Students are responsible for their own housing.
Each class has a maximum of 8 students.
The age of students ranges from 23 to 25 for young international students completing their education, and up to 45–50 for those pursuing career transitions, depending on the session.
