The Ritz Group and its development

The Ritz Experience
Located on Place Vendôme, the iconic Ritz Paris embodies the Parisian "art of living" to perfection. Founded in 1898 by visionary hotelier César Ritz, the hotel was the first to offer rooms with private bathrooms and electricity on every floor. Prized for its modern comforts, exceptional service and understated elegance, the hotel has attracted celebrities from around the world, including Coco Chanel, Ernest Hemingway and Marcel Proust.

In 2021, Ritz Group extended the brand's heritage into new areas. To this end, a high-end boutique patisserie was opened under the name Ritz Paris Le Comptoir. The group is now pursuing further growth through brand licensing arrangements, the development of the Ritz Paris Le Comptoir concept and the exploration of opportunities for the highly selective establishment of future hotels worldwide.

Our philosophy

The Ritz Group defines itself through its precious heritage of timeless elegance, innovation and excellence. Each new project will be unveiled in an authentic setting, blending classic Parisian style with contemporary luxury. At Ritz, we are dedicated to crafting exceptional experiences where the art of detail and legendary refinement create the most beautiful memories.

César Ritz set out to create a hotel that would be the epitome of elegance, combining all the refinements a prince could wish for his own home.

Hotel development

With the Ritz Paris as its cornerstone, the Ritz Group aims to expand its presence in the luxury hotel sector with an exclusive suite of new properties. Perfectly in tune with the Ritz brand, each future hotel will reflect the marriage of timeless elegance to modern sophistication, thereby taking its place in the portfolio of the world’s most distinguished luxury hotel brand.

Ritz Paris Le Comptoir

Since 2021, the Ritz Paris has been showcasing its pastry-making expertise through its Ritz Paris Le Comptoir boutiques. Located in Paris at 38 Rue Cambon – adjacent to the hotel – and at 45 Rue de Sèvres, in the heart of the literary district, these establishments have won over a discerning clientele, both French and international. Ritz Paris Le Comptoir celebrates nostalgic and refined pastries: iconic madeleines, long viennoiseries and exceptional sandwiches have become its signature products. In 2024, this gourmet ambition was crowned with a prestigious title: ‘best patisserie in the world’, confirming the success of the concept and the attachment it inspires, and perpetuated today by pastry chef Joris Theysset.

Ritz brand partnerships

As part of its development, the Ritz brand is expanding its presence through carefully selected partnerships across the worlds of fashion, accessories, lifestyle, and beauty. This strategy embodies an ambitious vision: to enhance the unique identity and exceptional heritage of Ritz Paris through exclusive collections designed to forge lasting connections with all generations.
