Inspired by the splendor of the Château de Versailles yet overlooking Place Vendôme, this Prestige Suite is unique in the world. It alone distills the most beautiful of tributes to the Royal Court of the Sun King and the French art de vivre of the time. A room identical to Marie-Antoinette's at the palace, from the furniture to the décor, this room is an immersion in the extraordinary richness of the 18th century that lovers of French history will appreciate.

You will appreciate

The Marie-Antoinette

In addition to a replica of the Queen's room at the Château de Versailles, with a canopy bed draped in silk, a splendid trumeau mirror and an embellished chaise longue, a regal bathroom done entirely in carved wood features a surprising, large bathtub. In those rooms that are listed as Historic Monuments, one lingers to admire six-meter-high ceilings and details such as screens, pedestal tables, massive chandeliers and antique clocks.

Notes from the Ritz Paris

A young king

The salons of the Suite Impériale have welcomed many a crowned head, including the young Louis XV, aged 11 in 1721, who was the guest of the Duchesse de Gramont, who was then the lady of the house.

From the windows, he was able to watch a grand parade held by the Turkish ambassador, who came to pay tribute to France's prestige with his own procession and camels.

It was an unusual and picturesque display on the Place Vendôme, to say the least — an unforgettable event for the spectators of the time, and a legend to this day.
