The Ritz is Paris
Thanks to his friend F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway discovered the Ritz Paris in the early 1920s.
It was love at first sight and Hemingway would remain a Ritz loyalist for the rest of his life.
In the early days, he scrimped on his meager income in order to be able to stop by for a drink every week.
Later, he made the hotel his Parisian home because in his eyes, Paris is the Ritz!
