Spring has arrived and seven months have already passed since our closure last August. The restoration of the Ritz Paris is well underway and progressing with great success.

We are delighted to share with you a film we have created to showcase this legend in progress as well as our spring communiqué with ideas and suggestions to enjoy this month.

Since April is synonymous with sweetness and chocolate, our Ritz Paris online boutique offers a selection of signature delicacies and gifts. In addition, our Head Barman, Colin Peter Field, reveals the recipe for a surprising cocktail with subtle chocolate flavors in a special mixology session we hope you’ll enjoy.

The Ritz is known for the best that Paris has to offer. Inspired by this distinction, we present our spring Ritz List, an essential guide for your next visit to the City of Light.

With best wishes from Place Vendôme,

Colette Kids, music for your children

The Colette Kids compilation comes with a mini-puzzle in its case and provides a selection of children’s music for a truly musical playtime. Listen to gems such as the Yamasuki choir, Jean Jaques Perrey’s playful robotics, the comic and fantastical music of The Bran Flakes, or J-Jems’ soft and boisterous rock. Now the whole family can dance.

Karl Lagerfeld on Paris’ Left Bank

A chic concept store, all in black and white like the master himself, is opening in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The 2153 square foot space over two floors houses his accessory lines, photo books and men’s and women’s Prêt-à-Porter ranges. The futuristic store is equipped with technological features in the changing room, allowing guests to use a touch screen to immortalize their look. Use the store’s iPads to browse the collections and even leave a message for Karl. 194 Boulevard Saint-Germain, Paris 75007 - www.karl.com
Eileen Gray, an Icon of Modernity

The Pompidou Center is paying very beautiful homage to the Irish interior designer and architect and her many talents. This visionary and figure of the Art Deco movement spanned the twentieth century, leaving behind iconic pieces of furniture and highly modern houses on the French Riviera. The E1027 house, built into the natural backdrop of Roquebrune-Cap Martin, remains an example of perfect harmony between avant-garde architecture and the functionality of furniture.
